With a new concert, which promises to be unforgettable, Plácido Domingo, one of the biggest names of world opera, will perform the most popular songs from his extensive repertoire on October 15, at Altice Arena, in Lisbon. An unforgettable night where legendary songs will be performed by one of the biggest names in music. Plácido Domingo will be accompanied by Orquestra Sinfonietta de Lisboa, composed by 65 musicians.
Singer and conductor, tenor and baritone, interpreter of big world songs and leading actor in opera films, under the direction of Francesco Rosi and Franco Zeffirelli, Plácido has also been a director of several theaters, promoter of young talents and founder of the prestigious World Opera Competition Operalia, also promoting zarzuela worldwide. He has accomplished unforgettable duets with John Denver, Julio Iglesias and Julie Andrews, and he has won 12 Grammy Awards, including three Latin Grammys. In addition to this vast résumé, Plácido has been one of the biggest promoters of opera around the world, alongside José Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti, at a time when they formed the legendary opera group, "the Three Tenors".
